Windows Vista Mail Setup

For all users


1. Open Windows Vista Mail.
2. The Account Creation Wizard should start automatically. If it does not, follow these steps:

  1. At the top of the screen, click Tools.
  2. From the list of options, select Accounts.
  3. On the right side of the Internet Accounts window, click Add.
  4. Select Email Account. Click Next.

3. Enter your name on the first screen of the wizard. Click Next.
4. Enter your new email address in the format yourname@yourdomain.com. Click Next.
5. From the Incoming email server type menu, select pop3
6. In the Incoming mail server field, enter mail.yourdomain.com.
7. In the Outgoing email server name field, enter smtp.yourisp.com  Make sure the box labeled Outgoing server requires authentication is NOT checked. Click Next.
8. In the Email username field, enter your new e-mail address. In the Password field, enter your new password. Click Next.
